This is our story…
Where it all started…
From a Dairy Flat Lime quarry to a successful garden media and fertiliser supplier based in Ardmore... this is the journey that the Redvale brand has taken.
The Lime quarry on the main road at Dairy Flat West Auckland was formed in 1945 and was branded Redvale. When the lime quarry closed the retail service centre for Redvale shifted to the southern side of Auckland to the Bombay hills near Pokeno. On this site the range was extended to include other garden supplies in the decorative range.
In previous years, our service and manufacturing operations were based on Hunua Road in Papakura, South Auckland. However, we are now operating from our new home in Ardmore. From this site, we distribute a full range of growing media products daily to Gard’n Gro customers under both the Redvale and Gard’n Gro brands.
The enthusiastic owners Merv and Treena and their supportive team have successfully continued to grow the business. Merv and Treena love gardening and what better way to combine that than to invest in a company that does both.
Our vision is simple... offer quality products and make home gardening easy and simple.

So what’s been happening…
Well, we’ve come a long way since we started back in 2011 but what has not changed is our love for gardening and our passion for quality products. During the past 14 years, there have been many memories… Good and Bad… We have remained dedicated to the same principles that have guided us from the beginning, and which we attribute our success. One of the greatest things about business and gardening is that there is always something new to learn.
Gard’n Gro has grown into a leading supplier of quality garden products for the home and garden. Successfully marketing these products through the internet and retail stores… We have made many friends and acquaintances along the way, and we would like to take a moment to thank them for their continued support. Treena and I would also like to thank our crew at Gard’n Gro as they go to great lengths to support us and our vision…

As we continue to grow, we remain positive and upbeat. Looking towards the future the company has a clearer vision now with an improved focus on offering top service and introducing a new range of quality products.
